We had a great time here! As something that we've never experienced before it was a good indication of what a castle was. I can't say we enjoyed the steps up to the tower, but we did feel very accomplished once we were up there!

A wonderful day out! This is a unique attraction that adults and children can both enjoy. Play games in the courtyard, explore all parts of the castle and even sit at the head of the table in the banquet hall. Wedding receptions and other functions are catered for too and there's also a very interesting doll museum. Staff were delightful and food hit the spot. Great coffee! A cheap fun way to spend a few hours, do yourself a favour and check it out!

It was an interesting couple hours. I would recommend a refurb and a decent clean on the local equipment. You meet a couple actors at the door and then your on your own until you leave. The prices were a little high for what you got. I'm pretty sure the dungeon hasn't been cleaned since it was built and part of the exhibition has been closes off for an extremely long time. The dolls though are for the doll enthusiasts. Not my thing but there are literally thousands of them

I grew up near the castle and have only visited it in my adulthood. It's a fun couple of hours with the kids looking at the doll displays, looking for the word clues, searching through the corridors and climbing the towers. There is a little history throughout the castle and a medieval weapons display and demonstration. All in all worth it.
